The DILAS M-series devices encompass all configurations based on a single bar mounted on a massive heat sink. Cooling is performed through thermal conduction. Operating conditions can be CW or QCW for the MN and MY types and CW for the MB and MF types. A sealed housing with an AR coated window is standard for MB devices. All surfaces are gold plated to avoid corrosion and to ensure a low electrical transition resistance.

For the MN and MY types two different designs are available. The first is a compact design to be used where space is limited or multiple units are placed side-by-side. The second design is larger and allows operation at a higher output power level. Tight mechanical tolerances make alignment and replacement very easy.
